my hair has a lot of volume

and i also have very tight curls...

my hair is equavlant to a African American's

and it stresses me out very much because my communiy is very white so no one here has outrageous unmanageable hair

but i do and i need some help on how to deal with it

I went to cosmetology school. I would suggest you just love the hair you have. Have you tried the same products that black people use on there hair. Deep conditioning treatments, hot oil treatments, leave in conditioner. Also don't wash your hair everyday. It is fine to go a day or even two without washing your hair. But just remember curly hair is beautiful.

try getting a Chi ....or a straightening perm..I use the Chi personally ....And for texture you should use moisturizers..Pink moisturizer is good...Motions Hair products are also good...

Your should start with a good shampoo and conditioner...just browse the ethnic hair products at Sallys...you just need a good creamy shampoo and a thick conditioner and a detangler and some gloss....you should show us pictures we would love to see a picture of a white girl with African American hair...i have never seen that.
