Yes they can, but a white/clear/blonde hair is not the same thing as grey hair. I wouldn't worry about it, unless the baby begins to sprout more.

I was 19 when I had my first. I was quite excited, but pulled it out anyway. Then grew another when I was 21.

I'm just now 29 and I have several... just discovered those, too. Very nice, silver hairs.

I got them , when I was 19 ....not sure of the reason...may be too much junk food I used to have back then...

I saw my first silver hair around 23 or 24.

I found my first one at the very front of my hairline at age 21. I now have several and they are white. I am glad because I always wanted my hair to go white!
