Does anyone have any good tips for keeping half african-american/half white hair healthy?
It depends on your hair type(straight, wavy, curly, thin, medium, thich, coarse, etc) and the condition it's in, not so much your racial/ethnic background. I've met Causasian women with hair like mine and I'm African American.
If your hair is naturally curly, try using a good conditioner and leave in to help maintain the moisture balance of your hair. Minimize using heat to prevent damage, and use a gentle shampoo(one without harsh surfectants).
If your hair is relaxed, try using heat only when you shampoo/condition your hair, and wrap your hair with a satin scarf in between washings. Too much heat styling depletes the hair of vital moisture, which causes the hair to become brittle and creates split ends(especially if the wrong products are used). Use products that aren't petroleum or mineral-oil laden, if you need to use oil-based products. Try using natural oils and butters, such as Avocado oil(which is an excellent heat protectant and emollient).
Oh, and it's important to get regular trims(when needed). No product can mend split ends or damage. They can either mask current damage, or help prevent them, but they can't fix them.

They have products in places like CVS, Rite-Aid, and Walgreens that are made for african american hair. I've used them before because my hair is horribly frizzy, and I really like the leave in conditioners they have. You'll notice the products when you see them.

I think it would depend on the texture of your hair... is it more like Caucasian or African American(look at ur parents hair if u need help with the difference). whichever texture fits with urs, then ask ur mum or dad about how they maintain their hair. i hope this helps.

Stay hydrated inside and out, moisturizers and lots of water. Speak with someone who specializes in African hair, if your texture is more like this. Take a good vitamin supplement too.

Coconut oil you can get it at Dollar General for $1.50. I use it, it's great. Use spareingly though, it goes a long way.

One of those ebony and ivory types huh? Well good for you. The problem lies in the hair. YOu could spritz olive oil in your hair when its wet and brush it through your hair with a soft brush at least 50 strokes twice per day. Also run your fingers through your hair throughout the day while massaging your scalp.
Or not
But stay away from the RELAXERS

Hair is basically the same. It is just how we treat our hair that makes us take specail care of it.
