dont go dark because it will make too much of a change and you'll look like your trying to be young but the darkest you should go is a light brown.

you can color it...DO NOT go dark. Choose a soft color, warm blonde, light brown. Dark colors are too harsh even if your original color was dark. Consider going for a color consultation with a professional and/or starting with a temporary color.

Heres my theory.
I started graying at 47. My thoughts were that I would spend at least a hour, every day, touching up or dying my hair, beard, eyebrows, sideburns and temples.
WHY BOTHER? If women dont like my hair the way it is, who gives a rats rear? lol

I think it looks very unnatural. I have seen some beautiful heads of white hair, though. Don't fight it, just go with it - aging can be a beautiful thing! : )

I've had white hair since I was in my twenties.
Now 56 - never used a drop of dye. You are what you are - once you start dying you have to keep it up.

Only if the 50-year-old wants to have it coloured! Your hair colour changes with age, and so does your skin. The two should complement each other. Going too dark can be too drastic. If colouring it is the preferred choice, go for something lighter and warmer. It would look more natural as going darker has a tendency to age ones look.
Get a professional consultation first though. Home kits are not a good choice for covering grey/white hair.

I agree on the shade of color. Dont go too dark if you are fair skinned. I think a Hair stylist would be able to help you.
