After i straighten my hair, my ends turn white...anyone know why?

i blowdry it straight and then 2 hours later i straighten so it's not too much heat on my hair. however...after i straighten, the very ends of my hair are white..does that mean a haircut? but i just got one like 3 weeks ago.

this means you have split ends. with your hair (from the sounds of it) is very sensitive to heat. dont worry mine is the same way. you need a hair cut every 3 to 4 weeks. also try using a shampoo for sensitive hair or one that matches your hair type. even thought you get your haircut often, doesnt mean you get it cut often engough. also you may want to use a product called Sleek.Look smoothing system 3lite. by matrix. this works great to make the ends less noticeable, and takes great care of your hair while under heat. i find it works best after you strighen your hair and then you rub it in.

hope this helped a little bit!

you may be putting to much heat on it

They are fried from the process, you need to cut that part of. Maybe enough wasn't cut off the last time.

it might mean that you have split ends. I have darker hair and sometimes my ends get a bit lighter, which means that its time for a trim

Cuz they die when you put too much heat on em

That is caused by too much heat on the hair go ahead and get that hair cut and ask hairstylest what you could to keep from burning your hair at the ends. They may just tell you to use a better conditioner such as thermasilk, or pantine.

You should not do it that intense. Either blow dry it or straighten it - don't try to do both. It seems like you are frying your hair and it does mean that you need a hair cut. Maybe you need to condition your hair more often - especially the ends.

I use to have the same problem as you. But, it all stopped now. I use a ceramic hair straightener. You should invest in one of those, those are really good and does not burn your hair as much as the regular ones. Also, I either just let my hair dry and straighten it, or blow dry it and let it be. You might also want to invest in a defrizzer to calm down your hair. I hope that helped!
